around home

Yesterday the clouds were kinda cool so i was keen to have a go at a few shots including the sky. So it was down on the ground to have a go at some shots looking up underneath flowers. Note to self not to do this in my running skirt again, ouch, bitten, scratched, ouch.

Then i came across this lovely native flower and took loads of shots, but in the end chose this one as its just simple and beautiful. I love the way our natives are so unassuming for most of the year and then pull out the most amazing 'look at me' moment.

And speaking of look at me moments, these dryandras are my least favourite native, prickly bloody things. But then look at what they pop out in Spring. Cant help but like them right now.

And then a wasps bum. My new photography friend John has been telling me all about macro lenses and showing me the most amazing shots. Cant wait till i can afford one, and can zoom right in on assorted bugs bums.

Ok so this made me laugh, these cows looked hilarious to me. They are my neighbours and so i see them all the time but today they just looked ridiculous peeking out from under the blackboys! I used my 70-300mm zoom and still tripod-less i just balanced my arm on the car roof and it seemed to work ok.
