my first non-sport gig

i had my first non-sports gig last night, and after a slightly stressful (read: oh my god i was crapping my pants) beginining i absolutely loved it.

the lighting was really low and strobey so getting that mix of sharp shots and moody long exposure shots was really tricky.

i have to say though, i think i learn the most during those times when i feel way out of my league.

i was down dreamily plucking weeds out of my vegie garden this morning and i can honestly say this year i love nurturing it. some years it can be such a chore growing vegies, oh the weeds, the bugs, did i mention the weeds. but this year its perfect.

so here is how its progressing, right at this moment, thru my macro lens in close up.

now im hungry.
