my cousin mark's son conner is the captain of the state hockey team, so went to watch him play today and took my camera along. definitely different sort of photography for me, being indoor and following a ball, but i had a great time.
got to spend a week in the vic alps with 3 incredible ultra runners last week - andy, phil and dave. they were attempting to run the length of the Australian Alps Walking trail, a mere 760ks from Walhalla in Vic to Canberra. i was there as their camp bitch to just put up the tents and cook tea, and take the odd photograph. Unfortunately they didnt make the distance, but hopefully theres a re-run and i get more photography practise.
i have a Canon EOS 40D, with a 17-85mm stadard lens and a 70-300mm zoom, fish eye, macro and a swanky new underwater housing.
I love photography, i love the simplicity of it, of capturing a mood in a shot. Its can be honest or it can be a story. I love capturing nature in its pure form, and trying to apply an emotion to it.
I once read that photography satisfies the artistic side of a person who requires instant results and does not have the patience for painting. I think thats me in a nut shell.
