i have a Canon EOS 40D, with a 17-85mm stadard lens and a 70-300mm zoom, fish eye, macro and a swanky new underwater housing.
I love photography, i love the simplicity of it, of capturing a mood in a shot. Its can be honest or it can be a story. I love capturing nature in its pure form, and trying to apply an emotion to it.
I once read that photography satisfies the artistic side of a person who requires instant results and does not have the patience for painting. I think thats me in a nut shell.

Kathy the photos are sensational - I LOVE the Avon Descent pics, and the Brighton pics! Can't wait to see what you choose (out of hundreds I am sure) of Kevin's channel swim.
