in the workshop we practised a technique where you pre-focus. its useful in sports photography, so that when a cyclist is coming, you focus on a spot on the road and then youre ready to rock once the athlete comes into your field of view.
all very nice, but without a supply of cyclists, i am left with trees to practise on. so i spent some time yesterday focussing on a spot and then putting me in it!
